 Welcome to First Nazarene!
Let me be the first to warmly welcome you to First Nazarene! These are the most exciting and fulfilling days of ministry in our over 100-year history! God is moving among us, and many are coming into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We are a community-centered, vision-driven church. God has clearly led us to reach out in significant ways to the southwest suburban communities around us, and more than 100 villages and townships and six area codes in Chicagoland. He has even enabled us to begin ministering in the city of Chicago on the west side, where we have a campus in the Austin neighborhood.
We are a vital part of the unified efforts of the international Church of the Nazarene, with life-changing ministry in more than 140 nations of the world. We are an excited participant in the Willow Creek Association, realizing that lost people matter most to God, in a desire to provide a church that is safe for the seeker. We also join in relationship with the Lemont Christian Clergy Association, where Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant come together on the essentials of our faith to make a difference in our immediate community.
My hope and prayer is that through the worship services or weekly ministries, the Nazarene Recreation, Nazarene Pre-School or Nazarene Arts Academy or some other link you will come to know Jesus personally, understand His Word, the Bible better, and join with us in fulfilling our vision as a congregation.
Whether you have church background or not, you will find many from similar roots to yours! There will be people here to assist you in your spiritual journey, should you desire that.
