The Bible clearly states "all have sinned." It is my nature to sin and it is yours, too. None of us is untainted. Because of sin, we’ve all hurt ourselves, we’ve all hurt other people, and others have hurt us. This means each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended.
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes. By working and applying these principles, we begin to grow spiritually and become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems. Change takes place as we share our experiences, hopes and strengths with each other. We gain freedom from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, joy, serenity and most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
Meetings are on Fridays from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Student Ministries Center. There will be separate share groups for men and women during the second hour each week. You can join in at any time and start your journey to recovery. Your participation in Celebrate Recovery is completely confidential. For more information click here to email, call Phil Zaras (call church for number), or call Tracy Bell at

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
That's the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.
During the small group discussion time, you'll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own.
GriefShare is a nondenominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Please join us for the next GriefShare session. We meet on Mondays, March 9 - June 8, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Chapel (Room 130). Sessions are facilitated by Howard & Ardyce Millhuff.
For more information, contact Tracy Bell at 708-349-0454 ext. 52 or click here to email.
