 NAZARTS ALIVE - We’ve been listening to your needs and hopes as many of our school districts have gone through radical changes. We know that many of you are looking for places for your children to continue to develop their fine arts skills. We are pleased to announce that NAZARTS ALIVE will debut in the fall of 2010. NAZARTS ALIVE will feature:
BAND Who: Beginner Band, Grades 5-6 Intermediate Band, Grades 6-8 When: Tuesdays 4:30-5:20 Mondays 5:30-6:20 Performances: December and Spring and other opportunities throughout the year
CHILDREN’S CHOIR Who: Beginner Choir, Grades 2-3 Intermediate Choir, Grades 4-5 When: Mondays, 4:30-5:15 Mondays, 5:30-6:30 Performances: Late Fall, December and Spring, in addition to other opportunities throughout the year
SHOW CHOIR Who: Grades 6-8 When: Thursdays, 4:30-6:00 Performances: December and Spring, in addition to other opportunities throughout the year
ADRENALINE DANCE Who: Adrenaline Dance, Grades 5-8 Adrenaline Junior, Grades 1-4 When: Tuesdays, 4:15-5:30 Tuesdays, 5:45-6:45 Performances: December and May, in addition to other opportunities throughout the year

Tuition for all NazArts Alive courses includes: Instruction, music, music fees, performance fees, T-shirt, water bottle, Naz Arts Alive Bag and other surprises. Some additional costs are noted for some course, and are noted below. Tuition may be paid in semester installments or in yearly installments. The tuition schedule is below: |

LITTLE ALL-STARS ARTS Little All-Stars Arts registration for the Late Fall session is available online through Nazarene Recreation. The online regis-tration period for that session is August 30 - September 25, 2010. Click here to go to the Little All-Stars online registration form.

ARTS & CRAFTS: For the budding artist in your family. This course explores the different media of artistic expression, utilizing a different method each week. Watercolors, clay, charcoal drawing, craft making and even drama are just a few of the arts that will be explored in this introductory level course.
CLAY CREATIONS: For ages 7 and up. Allows for artistic expression through the medium of clay.
HOLLYWOOD STARS DRAMA: A drama class for children ages 6 and up, this course will incorporate basic drama instruction and culminate in the performance of a short play.
LITTLE CHEFS: One of our most popular courses. Children ages 4 and up learn basic culinary skills, creating a new dish every week and then sampling their work. Two Classes for Late Fall Starts: October 19, 2010 Days: Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. Ages: 3-5 years old Cost: $65 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Starts: October 21, 2010 Days: Thursdays at 3:45 p.m. Ages: 5 and up Cost: $65
LITTLE EXPLORERS: Is your child always asking where, when, who? The Little Explorers is just the course. This adventure will take children to a different place each week, examining different work environments, cultures, languages, and people through the use of stories, crafts, pictures and even food.
LITTLE STARGAZERS: A drama class for children ages 3-6, this course will incorporate basic drama instruction and culminate in the performance of a short play.
MUSIC IN MOTION: This interactive course combines music and motion. One class, for ages 18 months through 3 years, will allow parents the opportunity to interact with their children in a fun and creative environment and develop a love for music in your child. A second course for children ages 3-5 will allow further exploration of the world around them through music and interactive activities. Classes are 45 minutes in length.
STILL LIFE DRAWING: For ages 7 and up. Allows children to develop their drawing ability under professional supervision. |

IRISH DANCE - Students will have fun dancing solo steps and group dances to the exciting rhythms of contemporary and traditional Irish music in an encouraging and non-competitive atmosphere. No hard shoes are needed. Only soft, slip-on, black ballet shoes with white socks. Dress in comfortable clothing.

GROUP PIANO - Naz Arts thinks the first steps to learning to play the piano should be a positive and fun experience! This weekly class provides an excellent way for beginners to learn basic, fundamental keyboard skills. Emphasis is on note reading, ear training, rhythmic skills, technique and ensemble playing. Classes are grouped by age. Assignments are given weekly and are to be practiced at home. A piano or keyboard with a minimum of 61 full-sized keys is required for practice at home. Each class is 30 - 45 minutes in duration. Curriculum will need to be purchased separately once class has begun. Summer 2010 Cost: $165 Dates: TBA |

GROUP VIOLIN - Designed for beginner students, this course provides a relaxed introduction to violin basics. Note reading, ear training, rhythmic skills, and methods of manipulating the violin and bow will be developed in a creative group setting. Each class is 30 - 45 minutes in duration. GROUP GUITAR - This is an introductory course for beginners. Participants will learn how to read simple tunes and play first chords with the objective of accompanying songs on the guitar. PRIVATE INSTRUCTION - Private lessons are offered in piano, voice, guitar, strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion for all ages. Instructors will customize lessons to the student’s needs and interests while designing a program that achieves their musical goal.

KINDERMUSIK® - Kindermusik® has been designed by early childhood educators for specific age groups and developmental levels. The classes are structured, yet fun. They encourage individual development while simultaneously strengthening group interaction skills. Parent / child bonding is enhanced as parents participate with their children in class, and later at home with Kindermusik® CDs and books. |
